After my plane got into Portland we immediately went to some strange swanky club to see the very last show ever of a band that was a big influence on the formation of (DH)WPC. The band, "Sassparilla" arranged the version of 99 Year Blues that we played (terribly) and they also made me want to play the washboard after I saw them when Maren took me to a festival they played at 2 years ago. Now two of them are apparently moving to Pittsburgh. They are cool people and have quite the perfect live show! Maren works with one of them... anyhow, just for posterity's sake, here are two videos from their very last show ever. May the collective keep the dream alive!!! PSUMMER 09!

Jacob is no longer allergic to cats. But still does not like them. He is boarding a plane in 4 hours.
